AM Consortium, Inc. (AMCI) singles out automotive manufacturers as a key group to initiate triple bottom line sustainability programs. These manufacturers are increasing their focus on waste reduction/recycle programs and advertising their search for energy alternatives while at the same time focused on profitability. The consortium, which is comprised of mostly automotive and industrial equipment, service and program management groups, understands manufacturing thinking and is applying proven technology to their core competencies to answer pleas for sustainable growth in this strategic market.

When we look at building a truly sustainable entity,
we must factor in our environment and the natural resources it provides. To be truly sustainable, any entity (regardless of size) must operate in a manner that does not destroy resources and produce non-useable waste. If they do, that entity will run out of resources. Eventually the green house gasses generated by energy production, transportation and manufacturing will destroy reproduction of the same resources. The larger the entity, the more rapidly it can affect the environment as a whole.
